What is this?

Good question.

Looking for a way to help fund live music.

Why?

The live music sector is struggling. Badly.

What do we aim for?

  1. To collect funding for live music.

  2. To distribute funding for live music.

  3. To not be assholes.

How?

With a simple idea, really.

Firstly, start a not-for-profit organisation.

Then collect cultural grants, government funding, donations, corporate social investment and everything else that can bring in cash in a responsible way.

Then give musicians who perform live a ‘micro grant’ to add to their performance fee.

Do this on a concert-by-concert basis for artists playing in small to medium-sized venues.

Where?

Start in Brussels and then slowly grow across Europe.

Who does this help?

Everyone.

Live music is the backbone of the music industry. Without it we have no industry.

No venues, no record labels, no managers, no sound engineers, no instrument producers, no music shops, no anyone.

And no musicians.

Now we need some feedback.
